OverviewMovenbank is a new and fast-growing technology company building an online and mobile financial services platform that will help people spend, save and live smarter.We are looking for a talented Ruby on Rails engineer to become the lead software engineer for our web channel, implementing a 3rd generation user experience that brings everyday context to online and mobile banking. • Architect, build, and test Ruby on Rails projects in accordance with Agile based development processes
• Rapidly brainstorm and prototype new features and functionality
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and company leadership
• Integrate with 3rd party products to support key banking features that drive an advanced user interface, including personal finance management
• Participate in key decisions that will define the frameworks and methodology for all future Movenbank web development
• Participate in hiring and training of new developers to continue to grow the Movenbank team

Experience

• 3+ years developing production systems in Ruby on Rails (with some experience using Rails 3+)
• Agile software development procedures (iterative, test-driven, etc)
• Integration with 3rd party products via web services (experience with financial products a plus)
• Integration with social networking APIs such as Facebook Graph API and Twitter API

Skills

• Ruby on Rails 3, MySQL, HTML/CSS/Javascript (JQuery)
• Strong communication skills including the ability to convey technical hurdles to non-technical people
• Familiarity with deployment into a Cloud infrastructure a plus
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment with user experience designers, senior technical staff, and company leadership
• Desire to be a part of something that will change the way the world thinks
• A do-it-yourself attitude, thriving off the challenge of figuring out something new
