The Software Project Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring, and leading the development of software for automotive embedded systems. Responsibilities include the planning and monitoring of project issues, requirements, design, implementation and testing as well as coordinating with internal groups at Gentex and ensuring customer requirements are met. The following qualifications are required:* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.* Ability to relocate to West Michigan (Relocation Packages Available)* U.S. CitizenshipThe following skills are required and will be tested as part of the interview process:* High proficiency in planning, monitoring, and leading software development teams * Understanding of good development and testing practices* Ability to communicate and collaborate within GentexThe following skills and qualifications are desirable:* Automotive experience * Microprocessor based product experience* Software development or software testing experience * Experience with Agile practices* Experience with CMMI, SPICE, or DO-178BE.O.E.
