One of our clients, a hedge fund in Princeton, NJ called Caxton Associates, is looking for a C# developer to work on their operations (back- and middle-office) systems. Company Background:Caxton Associates, L.L.C. was formed in 1983. It is an international asset management organization, and a hedge fund and portfolio manager in fixed income, futures, currency, commodities and global equities. Caxton has approximately 350 employees in two main locations. One group is located in midtown Manhattan and the other in Princeton, New Jersey. A trading satellite located in London is supported mostly out of NY and NJ.Description of Role:The candidate will join a technology team in Princeton, and will design and build new systems within the operations (middle- and back-office) group of the firm. S/he will also be involved in building components to integrate different systems. The individual will also develop and support the trade capture application, the global pricing infrastructure (used for end-of-day pricing of positions), feeds of trades (to prime brokers and fund administrators) and other applications used within the operations group. The individual may eventually work with traders, quantitative modelers, treasury, accounting, tax and upper management, and actively participate in discussions and studies aimed at selection of strategic technology and software solutions that improve the efficiency and quality of the companys operations.Requirements:1. Assertive, bright, technology lead: the candidate must be able to lead the design and be a expert developer on projects. Experience building complete systems from scratch as a tech lead is a must. 2. Deep OO skills and experience using C#.NET to develop multi-tiered systems.3. 5+ years of experience with C#.NET and 6-8 years of overall development experience. A stable work history averaging 3+ years per role is highly preferred.4. Superb communication skills: should be able to work, communicate and manage the expectations of internal stakeholders.5. Experience with Java would be a plus.6. Prior experience at a hedge fund, brokerage firm or an investment bank is preferred, but not necessary. 7. US Citizen, Permanent Resident or TN visa holder required; please note that H1B visa holders are not being considered.
