Education4 Year Degree or Higher with some exceptions, a major in Computer Science is preferred.Position DescriptionThis position requires an equal blend between technical and personal communications skills. Day to day duties involve implementing Sentry products and providing customer service to current customers.Technical analysts are separated into two areas: implementation and client support. Both areas involve heavy customer interaction and require a deep understanding of Sentrys entire product line from the ground up. Problem solving and the ability to learn and adapt quickly are of paramount importance.Technical SkillsCandidates should have programming experience in at least two scripting languages (Perl, PHP, ASP) as well as experience with more than one operating system (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux). Familiarity with data flow diagrams, basic systems design, and basic technical troubleshooting is required. Extensive knowledge of SQL and experience with a relational database is required. Must understand object oriented programming; Ruby experience is advantageous. Programming experience using a compiled language such as C/C++ is viewed as a strong plus.Other SkillsStrong communications skills, both verbal and written. Writing sample must be provided.
