Job Description:
The UI Architect/ Sr UI Developer will be responsible for developing the user interface framework for One Network’s product suite. This includes developing components, supporting the developers using these components in their applications, evaluating new technologies, setting style guidelines, and prototyping new interfaces.
Essential Functions:
•Designing usable, intuitive interfaces based on customer requirements
•Evaluating and selecting UI frameworks and technologies
•Implementing robust UI components for use across multiple products
•Providing transition plans to move existing UIs from older to newer technologies
•Working with a graphic designer to produce style guidelines
•Developing design tools for quickly creating new UIs
Experience:
•Experience with web client technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX
•Experience with server-side web technologies such as Servlets, JSP, Struts, Java Server Faces
•Familiarity with rich client technologies such as Flash, Flex or Silverlight
•Familiarity with fat client technologies such as SWT, Swing, AWT
•Familiarity with the principles of Usability and Human Interface Design
•Familiarity with unit testing techniques for UIs
•Strong analytical problem solving skills
•Strong Object Oriented Programming Skills.Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
•Understanding of software design patterns,J2EE components (EJB, JSP, Servlets) , and XML
•Excellent communication (verbal and written)and interpersonal skills
•Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, support
•Prior experience in development or consulting with an enterprise software vendor is a plus.
•Functional knowledge of supply chains, logistics, order management, etc. is a plus
