HUGE is currently seeking a motivated, hands-on Freelance Action Script developer to join the HUGE development group. Developers are responsible for building, testing, debugging and troubleshooting web applications and scripts.
Required:
• 3+ years experience writing ActionScript 2 for Flash applications integrated with server-side web applications and content management systems
• Experience coding complex event handling systems and advanced transitions/animations in Flash
• Experience integrating optimized video, 3d model animation in Flash
• A thorough understanding of the concepts behind object oriented programming and several years experience implementing OOP concepts with ActionScript
• Experience parsing XML with ActionScript to load dynamic content
• Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges
• Must be self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
• Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient.
• Must be able to function independently and still work well in a "team oriented" environment.
Desired:
• 4 year degree in Computer Science, Programming or equivalent
• Knowledge of and experience with source/version control systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills (both in person and in writing) while interacting with individuals with a range of technical understanding.
• Adobe Photoshop, Image Ready, and Illustrator is a plus but not necessary
