We are a DJ software company based in Washington DC. Our customers are interesting people -- they are the best musicians and DJs in the world. We create DJ tools to make their lives easier.
++++ We need a .NET developer to work on our software. This position is a freelance gig. We are looking for *two days per week* of development work. ++++
For example, you can work on our software every Monday and Tuesday. We give you a lot of freedom to invent and develop your own code, but in exchange, we need your undivided attention for 16 hours every week.
We look for these qualities:
* You are self-taught
* You love visual design
* You enjoy creating tools for yourself
* Your first experience with programming was a memorable one
* You have an intuitive understanding of .NET 3.5
There are five additional things that we consider good indication of your skills. They are:
* You've launched your own products as the lead developer
* There is a webpage about you
* Your products have been featured in multiple books and magazines
* You maintain a technical blog to help other developers
* You’ve filed patents for your own inventions
Our ideal person is someone who freelances for a living, but wants to spend two days per week developing music software.

* Expert in C# (equal knowledge of Windows Forms and ASP.NET)
* Expert in VC++ .NET
* Master of SQL 2005/2008 with solid knowledge of optimization for 20 million row+ databases
* Master of 3D rendering/DSP/Audio/Video manipulation in OpenGL + DirectX + DirectDraw + DirectShow
